About Template Cabin

Template Cabin is a small, free library of spreadsheet templates: budget trackers, planners, and a handful of business tools for freelancers. Right now that’s 18 templates, organized into three groups (spreadsheets, planners, and business), each one a working Excel and Google Sheets file rather than a screenshot of one.

It’s made by Design Mori, a small team based in Toronto, Canada, also behind the Dayframe app. Dayframe is where our interest in this stuff started: mindful, low-friction systems for actually managing daily life instead of just planning to. Template Cabin grew out of the same habit, but for the spreadsheet-shaped parts of that problem, budgets, schedules, and trackers, rather than the app-shaped parts.

Every template gets filled in with a realistic example before it’s published, and the math in that example gets checked by hand in an actual spreadsheet, not just eyeballed. If a formula breaks on your data, that’s a bug in the file, not user error, and we want to hear about it.

Everything here is free, with no signup and no locked cells. You can use a template for personal or commercial work; the one thing we ask is that you don’t re-upload the file itself to another template site or marketplace. The full terms are on the terms page if you want the details.
